Filling In The Holes (Strengthening Your Weaknesses)
At times, humility can be hard to achieve, unless the ego is toned down. However, when you can tone it down, it becomes easier to objectively see one’s strengths and weaknesses, which can produce some unexpected, necessary insights.
When I started this blog, I quickly realized that there was more to do than just create content. There’s marketing my writing and other future pursuits, as well as connecting with readers and persuading them to bring in new readers. There are sales in pitching products that I feel strongly about and may benefit my readers. In the future, I would love to do public speaking. These are areas that I know that I need to improve and there are some useful resources that I have compiled over time, which I can use to intentionally strengthen my weaknesses.
In my first piece, “Hello World,” I wrote about the need for regular self-examination, asking the right questions and seeking objective truth. These are just three of the many possible tools that can help with truthfully looking at how to make yourself better to help make the world better. In whatever you do, I would challenge you to see where you’re strong, find where you are weak and systematically build yourself up.
I would like to leave you with three questions to get you thinking:
What do you need to work on?
Who can help you address these deficiencies?
What resources can you utilize?
